The Benefit
- The VCO-6000-CFL – Machine Vision Computer allowed the customer to customize their compute needs with PCIe Expansion Card Acceleration for intelligent computer vision and a dedicated full length GPU card accelerator.
- The Rugged IP65 Industrial Touch Panel VIO Monitor allowed the customer to fully integrate their machine vision software with full touchscreen capability for HMI use.
- The VCO-6000-CFL allowed the customer 3x PCI/PCIe expansion slots for RTX A4000 GPU Expansion for compute acceleration, 10GB Ethernet Card for device communication, and front-accessible I/O for easy cabinet installation.

Like any machine vision manufacturer, high-resolution imaging, artificial intelligence integration, and robust design for durability are what enhances their solutions in the market. Facing the challenges of having a high performance solution with customizable I/O configuration, while still being able to withstand challenging environmental conditions is crucial. The Challenge
The customer’s overall requirement was a machine vision computer that can smoothly run their machine vision software, integrate their high-speed cameras, and be able to securely operate it in their rugged industrial environment. The customer required the machine vision computer to have a high-performance processor with more than 6 cores and support an enhanced graphics card. The customer also needed front accessible I/O for easy access in their assembly line cabinet and as well a 10GB ethernet card for device communication. Lastly, the customer required the system to be highly durable and reliable in a dusty industrial environment without compromising any of their other requirements, and must have a wide input power range to support their power supply connection.
With Premio’s off-the-shelf solution, the VCO-6000-CFL-3-2PWR Machine Vision Computer with 9th Gen Intel Core addressed the specific customer needs with no compromises. During the project's testing phase, the customer also realized they needed an HMI to operate synchronously the Machine Vision Computer in their rugged environment. In which Premio simply had the perfect solution with the Modular IP65 VIO-W221-MX100H Touchscreen Monitor.
The Solution
The customer connected with Premio at a tradeshow and realized that Premio would have their perfect needed solution that would meet all their requirements. The customer knew Premio’s solution was reliable considering Premio had worked with tier 1 companies within the same machine vision industry as the customer. Overall, Premio’s VCO-6000-CFL Machine Vision Computer and the VIO-W221-MX100H stood out to be the best solution for the customer as it maximized reliability and eliminated an unwanted tailored solution for the customer which would’ve led to downtime.

Premio met the immediate availability for the customer and provided them with a ready of-the-shelf unit for them to test and assess. The customer’s application engineer easily realized Premio’s VCO-6000 was the perfect solution for their machine vision application and proceeded with deploying the VCO-6000-CFL-3E-A4000 Machine Vision Computer throughout their machine vision system.

The customer did not have to compromise any of their compute system requirements, but also benefited from the VCO’s ruggedized design for ultimate reliability. With the Touch Panel Monitor VIO Series, the customer now has a more holistic solution; and due to the VIO’s modular design, the customer can easily decide to turn the VIO into a Touch Panel PC instead of a Touch Panel Monitor by simply switching the PC module from the MX100H to the PC100-EHL. Premio’s seamless solution integration and reliability ensured the customer was able to efficiently meet all their compute performance requirements without compromising downtime or durability.
