AI Edge Inference Computer (RCO-6000-CFL)
Our AI Edge Inference Computer is revolutionizing Edge computing with modularity, data leverage, I/O expandability, and workload consolidation.
1. Modularity with Two-Piece Design
Modularity maximizes performance and efficiency for specific user operations at the edge. The top module consists of our Industrial Fanless PC that is driven on a 9th generation Intel CFL-R S Processor with an Intel Q370 Chipset. This generation of CPUs enables multi-core hyperthreading which allows for rapid compute speeds with multi-tasking capabilities, DDR4 RAM, USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 3.0 lanes, and GbE wireless speeds. By using a ruggedized form factor, the RCO-6000-CFL is passively cooled with a fanless and cableless architecture designed to withstand the harsh environments like factory floors. This industrial-grade edge computer is built with large data storage capabilities with on-board blazing fast M.2 NVMe SSD, two hot-swappable tool-less SSDs, and two internal SSDs.
The bottom module is where inference analysis and machine learning can be optimized for domain-specific hardware acceleration. Premio’s modular EdgeBOOST nodes offer a variety of specializations for specific workloads at the edge that require real-time compute performance. Select nodes that can provide blazing-fast, high-capacity NVMe storage and/or accelerate performance with GPU support.
2. Enable Machine Learning with EdgeBOOST Nodes
The RCO-6000-CFL defines itself with the combination of performance accelerators to operate data intensive applications like machine learning and AI Inferencing at the rugged edge. Premio’s EdgeBOOST Nodes offer the additional compute power needed with PCIe expansion slots. The PCIe expansion provides room for a primary performance accelerator, the NVIDIA RTX 2060 SUPER. GPU support provides additional cores to enable real-time data processing, AI integration for automated decision making, and machine learning.

3. Data Storage Performance & Integrity with NVMe
Leverage data storage and protection with hot-swappable, high-capacity, blazing-fast U.2 NVMe canister bricks. NVMe technology opens capabilities of high-speed data processing with theoretical read and write speeds of 3,500MB/s. These rapid processing speeds provide the necessary compute power to run data-intensive applications. With toolless drive trays that are easily hot swappable, a Safety Storage Ejection Button is incorporated to follow a strict protocol that properly ejects the drives for anti-data corruption and mission-critical redundancy. Upon pressing the eject button, the computer will safely suspend the drives to prevent corruption or loss of data and allow the user to remove the drives properly. The seamless process of quickly accessing and transporting sensitive data safely allows users to offload large quantities of data efficiently and reliably. Redundancy is crucial to data storage as it is a line of defense against data loss. Multiple drives within the EdgeBOOST node and the IPC ensure the integrity of data processed and stored.

4. Rich I/O Ports for IoT Expandability & Flexibility
Versatility is key for computing at the rugged edge. The RCO-6000-CFL is engineered to be I/O flexible and have expandability for any rugged edge deployment scenario. A 16-bit isolated DIO port gives users the ability to program, automate, and control a variety of IoT sensors. With the on-board I/O, is a universal I/O bracket that lets users select between additional PoE, 1GbE & 10GbE ports, USB Ports or enable 5G connectivity with Premio daughterboard modules. Additionally, the RCO-6000-CFL offers on-board dual SIM sockets for 4G/LTE connectivity for any deployments in remote or mobile locations. CAN Bus is also readily available for efficient vehicle applications where vehicle telematics data is needed.

Small Form Factor Computer (RCO-3000-CFL)
Premio brings the sheer compute power of the AI Edge Inference Computer to a smaller scale in a palm-sized form factor.
1. Multi-core Socket Design in SFF
The key feature to the RCO-3000-CFL is that it is a small form factor computer that is driven by a multi-core socket design. Most SFF computers use a SoC (System on Chip) design to balance performance and overall power consumption.. However, the RCO-3000-CFL breaks this limitation by providing high-performance 9th gen Intel CFL-R S processing power with a Intel Q370 chipset. All while operating reliably in a space-constrained enclosure while at the rugged edge. With Intel’s Q370 chipset, it enables upgraded features such as: support up to 64GB DDR4, GbE wireless speeds, PCIe 3.0 lanes, ultra-fast USB3.2 Gen 2 ports, and expanded I/O options for various IoT applications.
2. Large Data Storage, Small Form Factor
The RCO-3000-CFL can support x1 internal 9mm 2.5” SATA drive and x1 external hot-swappable tool-less 7mm 2.5” SATA drive for high-capacity storage with readily available offloading capabilities. These SATA drives are compatible with both SSDs and HDDs however SSDs are encouraged because of faster transfer speeds of 600MB/s and is more resistant to shock/vibration. Moreover, there is RAID 0, 1, and 5 support to ensure data loss prevention and reduce downtime to maintain/replace any malfunctioning drives.
3. Flexibility in I/O
With the Intel Q370 chipset, the RCO-3000-CFL can offer more I/O configurations. With dual-SIM, this SFF IPC is ready for remote and mobile deployments with 4G/LTE wireless connectivity, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.0 options. Also, because there is a universal I/O bracket within the RCO-3000-CFL, daughterboard modules provide additional I/O expandability like: Dual 10GbE, LAN, M12, or USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports. The RCO-3000-CFL can also support CAN Bus protocol for vehicle deployment applications where vehicle telematics data may be needed.
